This spectacular island was what drew us to French Polynesia. Arriving on the seventh day of our honeymoon cruise, over the two days we stayed here we experienced diving in a yellow submarine, a white knuckle ride overland in the back of a jeep, and a relaxing sail on the turquoise waters of Bora Bora's stunning lagoon.

First stop on our cruise of French Polynesia's Society island chain. We took a coach tour of the island, getting a feel for the culture and way of life, and stopping at some of the ancient religious sites.

Saving the best for last, this island really was a stunner. Just when we thought Bora Bora couldn't be topped, Moorea revealed even greater vistas and the chance to swim with dolphins.

The third on our cruise itineary, Raiatea was the largest island. We had demonstrations on how to make your own coconut milk and cooking implements made from leaves, followed by a visit to the botanical gardens and a long hike up one of its peaks for wonderful views of the lagoon.

We stopped for two days at Rangiroa, one of the largest Atolls in the world, where we viewed marine life from a glass bottomed boat and generally just strolled around.

We flew into Tahiti and boarded the Tahitian Princess cruise ship at Papeete port. We then commenced our cruise round the Society islands, returning nine adventure packed days later.
